Getting Started with Swyft Theme – Installation Guide

Swyft is a versatile WordPress theme designed for easy setup and customization. The installation process is straightforward and can be completed in just a few steps. Here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Download the Theme

1. Go to ThemeForest and log in to your account.
2. Navigate to your Downloads section.
3. Find Swyft in your purchased themes list and click the Download button.
4. You’ll be presented with two options for downloading the theme:
   • All Files & Documentation: This includes the theme file, documentation, and any other assets.
   • Installable WordPress File Only: This is the theme file you need to upload directly to your website.

   If you choose the All Files & Documentation option, you’ll need to extract the files on your computer first. Inside the extracted folder, you’ll find another archive called swyft.zip — this is the file you will upload to your WordPress site.

Step 2: Upload the Theme to Your Website

1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Panel.
2. Navigate to Appearance → Themes from the left-hand menu.
3. Click the Add New button at the top of the page.
4. Next, click on the Upload Theme button.
5. Select the swyft.zip theme archive (if you downloaded “All Files & Documentation”) or the downloaded file (if you selected “Installable WordPress File Only”).
6. Click the Install Now button.

Step 3: Activate the Theme

1. After the theme is successfully uploaded, click the Activate button to make Swyft your active theme.

Step 4: Activate a Theme Demo (Optional)

1. Once the theme is installed and activated, you can choose to activate one of the pre-built demo websites.
2. This step helps you replicate the demo look and feel for your website, making it easier to get started with the customization.

Step 5: Regenerate Thumbnails (Optional)

1. If you plan to use custom image sizes or want to ensure that your media files are correctly sized for your website, it’s a good idea to regenerate your thumbnails.
2. This step is optional but can improve image quality and loading times.
